A couple of weeks ago I posted one of my favorite ways to cook deer meat by making some chili. While I do love making chili with venison, probably one of my absolute favorite ways to cook deer meat is by making some Deer Meat Poppers on the grill.
This is a super easy recipe that I love to use. It’s so easy there are only 4 ingredients: deer meat, Dale’s, bacon and jalapenos! You can leave out the jalapenos if you don’t like them or load them up with more! I usually make about half with and half without.
Take the deer meat, place a jalapeno slice in the middle, wrap with bacon and secure with a toothpick. Anyone can do this! This makes a great appetizer or you can eat it for a meal with your favorite sides.
Peavine’s Jalapeno Poppers
For the meat, you can use steaks you cut off the backstraps or deer steaks made from the processor.
1 bottle of Dale’s (I use the low sodium version)
Bacon (makes everything better)
Jalapeno slices
Toothpicks
Grill for about 10 minutes on each side and serve!
