Nose Jammer Body Wash and Shampoo Outdoor Product Review

Nose Jammer

Good afternoon everyone,

Today’s outdoor product review is for the Nose Jammer 12oz Shampoo and Body Wash.

Patrick Gallagher provided this product to me from FishHuntCamp.com. Check out the website, they have several outdoor products for sale and Patrick is a real nice guy. Ok then, once again it is time for the boring part of the review, the disclaimer:

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received Nose Jammer 12oz Shampoo and Body Wash for free from Nose Jammer as coordinated by Outdoor PR in consideration for review publication.

Now that this is done, lets get to the actual review, shall we?

When I first opened the bottle, my response was, this smells “perfumy”! My instant thought was, “what did I just get myself into”? Coconut was the first impression I got, but many other people say it smells like vanilla. Either way, I did not think I was going to see deer and thought I was going to get busted on every sit. However, I made a commitment to test the product so I did not hold back.

I used the Nose Jammer Shampoo and Body Wash every time before hunting. Here in the U.P. we are allowed to bait so I would purposely use my bare hands when dispersing the bait to see if they would react to the product scent. I am pleased to report that the deer were not alarmed around the bait pile. They would come in cautiously (as always) and feed without being spooked.

In one instance I had (1) deer walk within 5 yards in front of my tree-stand. My tree-stand, in this particular location, is about 10 to 12 feet up. Now the wind was in my favor, however she did walk into the bait pile using the path I walked to drop off the bait. She did follow the path into the bait pile for about 30 yards and did not spook from my scent. Below I included a photo showing where the deer crossed in front of me.

In another instance I had a doe and her fawn walk in about 7 yards behind me in the same tree-stand. This time the wind was in their favor. They never alerted to my scent and came in to feed for about a half hour before it got so dark I could not even see their outline at only 30 yards away. Below is a photo showing where the doe and her fawn walked within 7 yards of me with the wind in their favor.

Throughout deer season I did not get busted from my scent. Whether it was from wind direction or from me purposely using my bare hands while baiting trying to trigger a negative response. It is also important to note that I believe in being as much scent free as possible when hunting and that also includes clean clothes, rubber boots and playing the wind as much as possible. We will never be truly scent free to deer, but in my opinion, the Nose Jammer Shampoo and Body Wash was effective is masking my scent enough to not alarm deer. The Nose Jammer Shampoo and Body Wash will be incorporated into my scent reduction routine in the future.

I would like to thank you for your time and appreciate you reading this outdoor product review. If you have enjoyed reading this review please share on your social media so your friends can enjoy it as well.

Enjoy the great outdoors,
Tim Collins.
