Bison coolers can retain ice for up to 7 days if properly packed and stored. Here’s how to maximize your cooler’s potential:
CHILL THE COOLER:Store the cooler inside for at least 24 hours before use. (Throw in a sacrificial bag of ice to cool the walls quicker.)
USE COLD CONTENTS:
Pre-chilling is key; only pack cold drinks and food.
ADD QUALITY ICE:
When purchasing ice, avoid “wet” ice. Look for solid, dry bags located at the back of the bin. Or, better yet, opt for block ice or Chillin’ Brew Ice Packs.
#1 TIP – TOP IT OFF:
Don’t skimp on ice. Keep a 2:1 ice-to-contents ratio and top off the entire cooler with ice. Also, when ice melts, do not drain the water.
KEEP IT COOL:
Keep the lid closed and set your Bison in the shade whenever possible. Every time a cooler is opened, cold air is exchanged for hot air.
FOR SOFTPAK COOLERS:
Keep The Sides Buckled – Small gaps underneath the ends of the zipper can allow cold air to escape. When securely buckled, the cold air is trapped in.
They were gone — but not for long. You asked and we delivered: olive-green tumblers are back in stock. Available in 12, 22, or 32 oz. sizes.
